History of Deputy Director General of Public Service (TKPPA)
Other than the KPPA who is the pillar and head of PSD, the second most important position responsible for assisting in ensuring the vision and mission of KPPA are translated into action is the Deputy Director General of Public Service or TKPPA. Based on records, the TKPPA post was created as early as the establishment of the Malayan Establishment Officein 1934. At that time, the title of this post was the Deputy Malayan Establishment Officer. The title was changed to the Deputy Federation Establishment Officer in 1954, the Federal Establishment Officer (1959) and the Deputy Principal Establishment Officer (1967). It was subsequently changed to TKPPA in 1968.
