Checking validation of recognition is for the purpose of appointment in Public Service is made available online at "RECOGNTION REVIEW". Appointed Authority (AA) was instructed to check online at the URL as referred in the Service Circular No. 1 Year in 2008. If the qualification is not available online, AA can check with the Recognition of Qualification Unit, PSD either thru letter, or email or phone calls. Please refer "CONTACT US" for the address, email and phone no.
A written letter by AA should include copies of certificates, Diploma, and Degree as well as transcripts / exam results. Students who graduate from Indonesia must submit visa during the period of study.
The printed slip from http://www.interactive.jpa.gov.my/webinteraktif/frmMainIktiraf.asp can be also be used for the purposes of appointment and job application. In addition, it can also be used for the purpose of sponsorship/ loan program and registration with government agencies, including the registration with the Ministry of Finance and etc.
(1) CHECK LIST OF RECOGNIZED QUALIFICATION
1.1 Recognition of Qualification Certificate, Diploma and First Degree
Recognition of qualifications / study programs from Higher Education Institutions in and outside the country are involved studies at Certificate, Diploma and First Degree only (For individuals who join the program Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Land Survey, Evaluation and began in 2009, please refer para 1.3) To see a list of qualifications recognized by the Government, please visit here.
1.2 Recognition of Qualifications Masters and Ph.D
For recognition of qualifications / study programs at the Masters and Ph.D, using the existing policy as contained in:-
Service Circular Letter Number 8 Year 2007 Recognition of Qualifications Master's Degree and / or Ph.D. for the purpose of Appointment to the Public Service's.
1.3 Recognition of Professional Qualifications Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Land Survey, and Evaluation
Recognition of qualifications for first degree studies Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Land Survey, and Evaluation, please refer to the list of accreditation recognized by the Government as equivalent to professional qualifications by professional institutions such as the following:-

(2) ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY LIST OF RECOGNIZED
Recognition of Qualification First Degree in Arts and Social Science and General Science from Australia and the United Kingdom
For recognition of qualifications / study programs in the field of Arts and Social Science and General Science from Institutions of Higher Education in the United Kingdom and Australia, the Government has adopted a list of Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) / (http://www.ucas.ac.uk/) and the Commonwealth Register of Institution and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) / (http://cricos.deewr.gov.au/). Following conditions that apply for recognition of qualifications / study programs from these countries: --
- Recognition is given to qualifications / study programs in the field of Arts and Social Science and General Science
- Recognition is given to the First Degree conducted by full-time at the university campus.
- Recognition does not involve the First Degree conducted Degree Twin (Double Degree) or Multi-Degree Field (All Other Degree Stream).
- For eligibility / study programs, professional recognition is in accordance with the certificate of the relevant professional bodies in Malaysia.
Recognition of Qualifications in Education from the United States
For recognition of First Degree in Education from the Higher Education Institutions in the United States, the Government has adopted a list of National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) / (http://www.ncate.org/). Recognition is given to full-time program conducted in the university campus.
