1) When EG-HRMIS will be implemented in government agencies?

EG-HRMIS entire project will take 42 months which includes two phases. The first phase is for 24 months and involve 10 pilot agencies. Agencies this pilot consists of Public Service Department (PSD), Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), the Ministry of Health, Department of Chief Minister of Sarawak, Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID), Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS), Majlis Amanah Rakyat ( MARA), Chief Executive of the Management Information System (SMPKE), Unit Administrative Modernization and Management Planning (MAMPU) and the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS). The second phase covers a period of 18 months and it involves the implementation of HRMIS across government agencies


2) What changes would occur to the human resource functions of the existing?

Based on the vision, mission and objectives of human resources for Public Service Malaysia, the EG-HRMIS project has been studying human resource services of Malaysia taking the views of the government. Based on these requirements and parables that made by the public sector outside the country, the processes of human resources that have been formed. Any existing human resources processes are relevant will be retained. In general, apart from improvement processes of the existing human resources, project EG-HRMIS offers sophisticated technology. For example, matters of human resources will be done in real-time and on-line. Human resource data bank information will be integrated between agencies in order to facilitate the use of information on human resources by the parties concerned.


3) What are the arrangements that would be provided to civil servants to use the EG-HRMIS?

All civil servants will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to receive and use the EG-HRMIS. All civil servants will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to receive and use the system EG_HRMIS. Preparations which will be given will depend on civil servants concerned and needed. For example, users common EG_HRMIS system is different from the system operator needs EG_HRMIS. Forms of preparation proceedings will be included several aspects:

  • Change processes human resource functions from first to present
  • Use EG HRMIS system
  • support services provided

Preparation-preparations will be provided through training sessions and channels of communication that will be given particular from time to time.
