Deduction of gratuity/ monthly pension for the repayment of government housing loan will be done by Post-Service Division once receiving orders from the Housing Loan Division. Pensioners can refer to Housing Loan Division for the deduction order issuance.
Information on address changes can be done at the Post-Service Division counter, through mail or through BP’s website http://apps.jpapencen.gov.my * the address changes through website will be done within one week from the date application received.
The retirement card enables pensioners and their eligible dependants’ to receive medical treatment at any government hospital/ clinic. Other than that, it use can also be used as a discount card to purchase train tickets under KTMB.
Compulsory retirement ages for government servant are 55/ 56/ 58 or 60 subject to the option that the officer chose.
Pensionable officer who aged 40 years old and above, and have at least 10 years of reckonable services can apply for optional retirement by providing necessary documentation/ application through their respective chief of department. Eligibility to receive pension benefits are as follow:- a) If the officer was appointed before 1st April 1991, payment of GCR and gratuity will be paid on the date of retirement whereas monthly pension will be paid as the retiree reach 45 years old for women and 50 years old for men; b) For those who was appointed on or after 1st April 1991, payment of GCR and gratuity will be paid on the date of retirement whereas monthly pension will be paid as the retiree reach 55 years old for both women and men.
Lowest pension paid for those who served at least 25 years old (300 months) are RM820 which was effective by 1st January 2012.
Maximum pension paid are 3/5 or 60% from the last drawn salary.
