To promote the system of salaries, allowances and perquisites which are dynamic thus to foster a better employer-employee relations through a harmonious mechanism.

To ensure a remuneration system that attracts, develops and retains employees in the public sector and foster harmonious employer-employee relationship.

Function
- Manage the formulation, implementation and monitoring of public sector policies relating to salaries, allowances and perquisites.
- Manage the formulation, implementation and monitoring of public sector policies relating to employer-employee relationship.
- Undertake research on remuneration and perquisites.

Client’s Charter
- Prepare proposals on salary, allowance and perquisites for decision by the relevant authorities:
- New policy : within six months.
- Present policy : within four months.
- Prepare Circulars/Circular Letters on remuneration policy within three months from the date of directive.
- Prepare with complete information submitted Personal-To-Holder salaries for Federal Service public sector employees involved in:
- Secondment/temporary transfer : within three weeks.
- Promotion through appointment/transfer of appointment : within six weeks.
- Manage employer-employee relationship through National Joint Councils (NJCs) and Departmental Joint Councils (DJCs) meetings:
- Organize at least one meeting annually for each Management and Professional, Science and Technology and Support Staff NJCs.
- Ensure at least 70% of the issues related to Remuneration Division raised in NJC meetings are settled before the next NJC meeting.
- Organize at least three NJC Coordination Meetings annually.
- Prepare quarterly reports on the formation and management of DJCs.
- Prepare proposals on salary, allowance and perquisites for decision by the relevant authorities:
