    To ensure that the needs of knowledgeable, trained and competent human resource for the strategic requirements of public service is met through dynamic training policies and sponsorship program/li>

  • Function

    • To plan, formulate and coordinate training and sponsorship policies and program.
    • To implement the following training and sponsorship programmes:
      • Pre-Service Training
      • In-Service Training
      • Look East Policy
    • Secretariat for evaluation and recognition of qualification for appointment into the public service.
    • Managing the collection of study loans and compensation claims.
  • Clients’ Charter

    We promise to:

    • To issue the results for in-service post graduate scholarship applications within 12 weeks (60 days) after the closing date for application.
    • To issue the results of applications for federal training award within three weeks (21 days) after the closing date for application.
    • To approve applications for amendment of sponsorship terms within 12 weeks (60 days).
    • To provide information related to functions and scope of duties of the division by the following periods:
      • Information/explanation on training and sponsorship policies: 10 days.
      • Response to feedback related to sponsorship and training for stakeholders as well as other ministries/agencies: one week (seven days).
      • Information on accredited qualifications through mail: two weeks (14 days) or 30 minutes for requests made at the counter.
    • To manage the evaluation of qualifications for accreditation purposes by the following periods:
      • For professional qualifications: 12 months (360 days).
      • For non-professional qualifications: six months (180 days).
    • To manage payment of scholarships and provide sponsorship facilities by the following periods:
      • Local and overseas allowances, fees and claims: nine days.
      • Health insurance cover: two weeks (14 days).
      • Flight ticket: four weeks (30 days).
    • To acknowledge receipt and issue loan repayment and indemnity receipts by the following periods:
      • At the counter - five minutes.
      • Through post - two weeks (14 days).
