To develop human resource potential in the public sector through excellence in training. INTAN will ensure that all client needs are met in accordance with the implementation of continuous improvement based on MS ISO 9001:2000.

Functions
The National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) is a training institution under the PSD that has been given the mandate and responsibility to train public servants in the Federal Government, State Government, Federal and Local Statutory Bodies and also Local Authorities.

INTAN Client’s Charter
We pledge to:
- Plan and implement quality courses that meet clients’ needs by:
- Notify clients of any course to be conducted at least one month before the course begins.
- Conduct at least 85% of the courses planned annually.
- Ensure that all facilities, equipment and training aids function properly and are ready for use one day before a course starts.
- Ensure support services such as dining and lodging achieve an average evaluation score of not less than ve on the scale of seven based upon
MS ISO 9001:2000.
- Undertake at least 10 research projects annually including system development.
- Produce at least 10 publications annually
- Conduct at least five consultation services annually.
- Provide library services from 8:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m every working day.
- Provide feedback on every complaint and enquiry in less than 2 (two) working days.
