  • The influence of globalisation, economic liberalisation and the development of information technology has made communication within every aspect of our life becoming very demanding. The style of our community involvement, implementing and managing our economic activities has and will change very fast with these developments.Public Service Department (PSD) is all the time sensitive towards these changes that are happening around us. As a central agency responsible towards human resource management of the nation’s public sector, PSD is constantly putting effort in giving information and not only giving fast services but also meeting the needs of the customers which comprises of government agencies, employees of public service department, pensioners, students and the public in general.

    This portal has been launched on 12th June 2002 to replace the website of the Public Service Development which was introduced on 31st October 1996. It has been constantly updated in terms of its content, image and the availability of its facilities. It is hoped that the information on different aspects of personnel management that is being managed by the department, will be the resources for references, helpful to all users. It is also hoped that the facilities for managing through internet such as getting any circulars or current circulars, posing questions and complaints on issues and even applying to attend courses will be easier and at the same time improve competencies in giving excellent customer service.

    In line with the fast development of knowledge economy, I am putting my hopes through the use of this web pages, Public Service Department can contribute towards the existence of knowledgeable employees that are needed in public services.

    I am encouraging constructive views and opinions for a much better information management and facilities than what is available.
