The National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) is a public training centre under the Public Service Department (PSD) Malaysia that assumes the role of conducting training for public officers’ attitude development, skills strengthening and knowledge enhancement, as well as conducting research, consultancy and publication activities to equip public officers with talent, capabilities and constructive thinking.

Yes, INTAN also accepts manual application forms for the Ministries//Departments that require written evidence of the application/confirmation. However, online applications are preferred
Yes, a notification/confirmation e-mail will be sent automatically to the Head of Department / Supervisor when an application is made. Applicants need to provide accurate information on the Head of Department/Supervisor in the online application.
A notification e-mail will be sent automatically to the course coordinator if the course application is not approved by the Head of Department / Supervisor. The course application will be cancelled automatically.
Applicants can review the Course Catalogue, which contains information such as course objectives, course duration, course date, and target groups. Based on this information, applicants may choose the courses that suit their needs.
A course application status, whether open or closed, is stated in the course information in the Course Catalogue on INTAN Portal http://www.intanbk.intan.my
The closing date to apply for a course is two (2) weeks before the course begins.
Applicants may check the result of their application one month before the date of the course or by contacting the course secretariat.

Appeals may be submitted to the Programme Coordinator. The final selection decision, however, depends on INTAN’s consideration

Payment may be made using the following methods:
Lodging will only be provided to participants with office address outside the Klang Valley/Putrajaya/Cyberjaya and Kuala Lumpur.
Participants may check-in with the lodging counter staff one day before the course commences from 3.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. For late arrival, participants need to notify the Course Secretariat or counter staff in advance. Participants will need to bring along their offer letter for the course when they check-in at INTAN hostels.
Among the facilities available at INTAN are conducive and comfortable lecture and seminar rooms; computer labs, sports and recreational facilities such as a takraw court, squash court, gym, swimming pool, netball court, football field, volleyball court and tennis court; a library, bookstore, surau, musolla, cafeteria and a spacious and secure carpark.
OKU facilities are available, such as OKU parking space, wheelchair ramps, and Braille touch button elevators. However, OKU participants are required to inform the course secretariat in advance to ensure that suitable facilities can be provided for the comfort of the participants during the course.

Facilities rental is confined to Ministries/Departments/Government Agencies and Statutory Bodies only. Application for rental should be submitted to INTAN Director or through the webpage http://www.1mtc.gov.my/
INTAN Library is open to course participants and civil servants only.
Membership of INTAN Library is open to Public Service Department and INTAN employees only. However, all civil servants may use INTAN Library for material references.
If you are not a member of INTAN Library, you may borrow the reading materials from INTAN Library according to the terms set by the Library Loan Scheme (SPP) if the Library / Resource Centre of your Ministry/Department/Agency is a member of the SPP. If your Ministry/Department/Agency is not an SPP member, you may send an official letter to INTAN Library for their consideration.
No, a Preparation Course for Master’s Degree / PhD is only open to the future recipients of Federal Training Fund (HLP) and Full-Pay Study Leave Without a Scholarship (CBBPTB) under PSD.
INTAN Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Management (DPA) Programme is a 10-month comprehensive pre-service course designed as a prerequisite for appointment into the Administrative and Diplomatic Officer (PTD) service scheme. This DPA programme has been granted full accreditation by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) effective 30 December 2015.
The Advanced Leadership and Management Program (ALMP) course is a mandatory or COMPULSORY course for Public Service officers who hold the Public Sector Premier Post (JUSA). It is conducted by the Centre for Leadership Excellence, INTAN Main Campus Bukit Kiara. The EPSA (Public Sector e-Learning) course is an online training programme that offers the facility to civil servants to attend courses at any time and from anywhere. Civil servants attending an EPSA course are eligible to receive a certificate in accordance with the specified terms. ISAC Assessment is conducted to assess the level of understanding and skill in using information and communication technologies (ICT) among public sector personnel.
Individuals holding the posts of Administrative Assistant (Secretarial) and Grade N17 Customer Service Officer, where passing the ISAC assessment is a prerequisite for confirmation in the service.
Personnel selected by the Ministry/Department/Agency that requests for the assessment on a group basis. The request can be made by a Ministry/Department/Agency to satisfy their respective ISP requirements or policies.
