The Mid Term Review of the Eleventh Malaysia Plan (MTR-11MP), among others, emphasises and affirms the importance of public services reform in strengthening administrative capacity and improving governance. The aim of this affirmation is to restore trust and confidence in the civil service among the people (Rakyat).
As a ‘LEADING REFORMER, DRIVER CHANGE’ the Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) has mobilised the reform agenda in management and human resources development in the public service towards developing leadership that is agile and holacracy, having human capital that is mobile, able to multi-task and multi-talented, an organisation that is creative, digitized, and hybrid, have self-leadership and a work culture that is customer-focused, flexible, innovative and open as well as provides service delivery with integrity and professional. Through this reform agenda, it is hoped that the public service will become a united and credible entity towards fulfilling the Government's national agenda. To achieve success in the planned reform agenda, data and information are among the most important assets to ensure that each planning activity and decision is made based on accurate inputs.
Accordingly, the JPA Portal has been developed to share information that can be utilized by civil servants. This bi-lingual portal provides important information on management and human resources development in the public service. User-friendly access is also available to enable civil servants to easily use the JPA portal. I urge all civil servants to take full advantage of the JPA Portal.
