According to Article 9, Service Circular No. 3 of 1999, an officer who received the incentive, but has left the financial duty for 28 days or more consecutively, the incentive shall be stopped during the period. However, exemptions are granted to officer who leave the financial duty for a period not exceeding 92 consecutive days, including weekly holidays and public holidays in the following circumstances:
- Attending courses as directed by the Head of Department;
- Carrying out official task as directed by the Head of Department and
- On Medical Leave supported by Medical Certificate in accordance with Chapter C of General Orders.
In this concern, the Financial Task Incentive must be stopped due to the justification that Maternity Leave is not considered as Medical Leave but rather leave granted for recovery purpose
