Reporting for Duty

Reporting Duty Upon Graduation
- Upon successful graduation or otherwise, the first thing to be done by the sponsored students of Public Service Department (PSD) is to report to the PSD online through the MySELF portal.
- The duration for reporting is 30 days after graduation (the date of the final exam/final presentation/matters related to academic results). The self-reporting must be done online by accessing the following websites:
- Type https://myself.jpa.gov.my;
- Click on Register eSILA-ID (if you do not have a password);
- Log in, click on the Study tab; and
- Click on the Report Graduated menu, fill in the information and click Submit Application.
- Students must submit the following documents:
- A copy of Diploma/Degree/Masters/PhD (can be submitted after convocation);
- A copy of Examination Transcript (can be submitted after convocation);
- Proof of employment application by the Appointing Authority (https://www.spa.gov.my)- (For PSD scholarship holders only) - (Students are required to apply for at least 5 positions equivalent/suitable with the latest academic qualification - for students in the fields other than medicine, dentistry and pharmacy); and
- A copy of passport (immigration stamp) or a copy of return flight ticket (for sponsored students abroad).
- The report must be done by the students themselves because there is information in the portal that students need to complete.
- If the documents have not been received, the student must fill in the Employment Application Form with the Public Service Commission (SPA) through the website https://www.spa.gov.my and upload a slip of SPA employment application received from the website to the MySELF portal. Other documents can be uploaded after they have been received.
- Self-report is compulsory for all sponsored students of PSD without exception. If a student fails and is dismissed by the university, the student must also report to the Department through the same process.
Please be informed that the Department has not used manual self-reporting since the MySELF portal was developed in December 2014. If there is any problem regarding the self-reporting process in MySELF portal, please send an email to
